Norfolk, VA Named Google’s 2015 Virginia eCity

Google eCity 2015 - Norfolk, VA

Google eCity 2015 - Norfolk, VAGoogle has announced their 2015 eCity winners, and our home town of Norfolk has topped the list in Virginia

Google describes the award thusly:

Google’s eCity Awards recognize the strongest online business community in each state. These cities’ businesses are using the web to find new customers, connect with existing customers and fuel their local economies.

The report was created by looking at which cities in each state had the most companies using Google AdWords as a percentage of the population of a given city. From that shortlist, a random sampling of businesses in each city was analyzed and rated based on factors such as whether or not each company had a website, blog, or a social network presence. More on the methodology here. The city with the highest overall rating won. Go Norfolk!

The new Fair Grounds website is live!

We’re excited to announce the launch of the brand new website for Elliot’s Fair Grounds, an iconic independent coffee shop in Norfolk, at www.fairgroundscoffee.com!

Now under the ownership of Mike Dimirsky, Fair Grounds has been making a lot of changes to meet the challenges of a demanding customer base. They have extended their hours, expanded their menu and done away with credit card minimums. A new website is a key component in the branding and marketing of any business and the new Fair Grounds website puts forth a clean new image for the company.

Not only did we create new logos for the company, but the new site features many dynamic and visually engaging features such as an image slider and galleries, an interactive map and social media integration with their popular Facebook page. It’s all based on open source platforms including WordPress and the Gantry Framework, making site management and upgrades quick and easy. Check it out today – we hope you love it!

Launch Page for Norfolk Donut Supply Company

Norfolk will soon have an exciting new place to eat, relax and be merry. Norfolk Donut Supply Company is going to offer gourmet donuts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week right here in Downtown Norfolk. They needed a launch page for their new Indiegogo fundraising campaign which would let people know what the company was all about while development of their site is ongoing.

We published a launch page to give them a corporate presence while they continue building the company and fundraising. Be sure to visit the new site and stay tuned for the launch of the full site!
